PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Warm walnut is the wood chosen by Fruitive, appropriate for a café that
specializes in cold pressed juices, house made nut milks, wraps, salads,
sandwiches and super berry bowls. In its third location in The Main,
Norfolk’s new Hilton conference center and hotel, the wood is expressed in
a more refined and sophisticated finish to create an intimate experience
within a large open glass atrium. Light fixtures help frame the space, and
an angled counter turns toward the front door, creating more of a presence
on Main Street. The overall clean design showcases menu offerings and
products, and a flex space spilling into the lobby allows for special
events. Fruitive was featured in Garden & Gun Magazine’s online feature
“Culinary Tour of New Norfolk.”
