The Writing Center at Norfolk State University has transformed a former reference section of the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library into a dynamic tutoring hub. Students from all departments and disciplines now have a central space to refine their writing skills through free, one-on-one tutorials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework.
Designed for flexibility and collaboration, the Writing Center features a classroom for group instruction, designated areas for individualized tutoring, lounge spaces, offices, and a conference room for small-group work. The center provides a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students can strengthen their writing and editing skills to succeed in their academic pursuits.
